one last fling (part 1)

I immediately gave up on Polaroid when they announced the end of film production. Then, a few months later, I saw some fresh 600 at the grocery store…

It’s like that girlfriend you break up with when you realize you don’t have a future together. Then, a few months later, you run into her at the grocery store…

ummm…i don’t think polaroid is going anywhere, i have two photographer friends who for the most part only do polaroid, when they heard it was over they went and bought up as much of it as they could. but now i guess there is a rumor some other company is going to be purchasing the patent(or license? i dunno) and it is going to stay on the market…
that girlfriend goes away only long enough to make you realize how much fun she was.

All of the factories are closed. Ilford ALMOST got the black and white peel apart film, but didn’t. The huge and beautiful 20×24 Polaroid film should be taken care of, but stuff like this is done. Unsaleable doesn’t have the resources to reopen a factory. The Zink printer, while neat, is no replacement and still fails to be available.

It’s not 100% done, but 98% done is good enough for me.

    I keep up.
