If you’ve never seen Network and you’re living on Earth, you really owe it to yourself to pick up a copy. Ned Beatty’s speech still gives me goosebumps.
We no longer live in a world of nations and ideologies, Mr. Beale. The world is a college of corporations, inexorably determined by the immutable bylaws of business.
In fact, just thinking about that speech has probably ruined my chances of getting a decent night’s sleep.
